Begin by making two i-cords and earflaps. These are placed on the same sized circular needle and stitches are cast on between these for the rest of the hat. The hat is knitted from the bottom according to a chart and finished with a pompom on top.

Sizes: 0-6 mos (6-12 mos) 1-2 yrs (3-5 yrs)
Hat circumference: 30 (34) 38 (42) cm
Gauge: 22 stitches per 10 cm in stockinette stitch
Needle size: Circular needles and double pointed needles 3 mm and 3,5 mm (U.S. size 3 and 4)
Yarn quantity: 50 (50) 100 (100) g
Suggested yarn: Sandnes Garn Merinoull or other light yarn with the same gauge.
Other materials: 1 pompom
